Snow City Arts Foundation

one of my fellow SAH board members, Paul Sznewajs, is executive director and poet-in-residence of Snow City Arts Foundation. They have a totally charming web site, visit it here

Be sure and go to the children's gallery and look at the short films. they are delightful, amazingly complete, thoughtful, works of art.

This charming image is Titled "Elephant" by Vinessa, age 6 Medium: watercolor on stone Symbolism: gentleness, commitment and communication. It is from a series titled Spirit of the Animals.

In 2004, through an exploration of animal symbolism around the globe, children identified animals that shared their own characteristics, creating images based on this kinship. Spirit of the Animals bridges the past with the present, celebrating both the individual and universal aspects of the human spirit.

Paul has a MFA in creative writing from ODU and was writer-in-residence for New Horizons program at the Children's National Medical Center (Tina Lassiter director) before going to Chicago to help found Snow City Arts Foundation.
