Susan had to work late so I had an amazing meal at L'etoile surprisingly I had the garden to myself for most of the meal, beautiful clouds, trains rolling by... For dinner I had an astonishing pear and champagne soup, warm, made with a vegetable stock. hard to describe but it reminded me of a potato leek soup with sherry. It was early and so balmy out I walked over to the campus to take some pictures of the lawn. Magnolias were out, the campus was empty. very lovely evening
